Listening = 70% Communication



As a Product Manager, effective communication involves conveying messages, influencing stakeholders, and listening to them. Valuable insights and ideas can come from unexpected sources, so being open and attentive is essential. While it's natural to want to dominate discussions, there are times when it's necessary to step back, ask the right questions, and moderate the conversation. This approach leads to valuable learning experiences. When conducting customer interviews and validations, I apply the same principle, setting the context and boundaries for discussion and then moderating the conversation by asking the right questions. I always reserve my views until the end. 


Tip: Be open to listening and learning rather than constantly discussing your opinions. You'll find that others share more when you are open to listening.
