Who am I?

About Deepankar Dey

I am an accidental Product Manager and an ever-evolving Leader. This enables me to develop a vision, operationalize it, and incrementally drive towards it.

As a product leader, I've navigated triumphs and setbacks, gleaning invaluable wisdom from each. My aim is to distill these experiences into byte-sized blogs, offering practical insights that can empower other product managers and individuals. My specialization in developing enterprise business-to-business-to- [consumer/partner/employee] products and multi-product solutions lend a unique, practical perspective to my insights.

My career is a rich tapestry woven from a three-dimensional perspective. I've honed my skills in various product management roles, including product owner, product manager, product leader, and outbound product manager. This diverse experience equips me with a versatile skill set to build and launch best-of-breed products across their lifecycle and effectively communicate product/solution value to CXOs and architects.

Ratan Tata, the esteemed chairman of the TATA group, is a beacon of leadership, management, integrity, and humility. I strive to emulate his qualities in my work, particularly when driving change and leading teams towards a vision. My strengths lie in empowering teams, adapting to changes and feedback, and a relentless thirst for learning and evolution.

Last but not least. I have experience working in various industries, including Telecom, Utilities, Retail, Consumer Goods, Hi-Tech and Manufacturing. I have cross-pollinated product management best practices in each sector by identifying common challenges and solutions and adapting and applying them to unique industry-specific contexts. This breadth of experience allows me to offer diverse insights that can be valuable across industries.

In my free time, I love spending time with my family, going for long walks, playing badminton, messing out with my golf clubs, and making bogies / double bogies ;-).

Thank you for your time. I look forward to your joining me on this journey and sharing your thoughts and feedback.
